About Me

Hello my name is Diana and I am grateful and happy that you are here.

I am a traveler, just like you, through space and time on our beautiful planet which we get to call home.

My strong belief is that we are given this life to discover who we are along the way, to enjoy every single day and do our best to be present in the moment, to love and support each over, to treat people with respect and tolerance and of course discover our Earth.

One day, our whole world will become a tourist destination and travel will be an essential part of our becoming as a human being, living in peace and acceptance of each other and reaching our highest potential.

Since I was a kid, my parents would take me for the summer break to the south rural area of Moldova and I would get to spend 3 months outside, free to roam around and discover.

I remember the lavender fields with their tantalizing smell where we would bring our geese to graze while me and my friends were playing all kinds of silly games.

It was surprising to me that my grandma could create everything we needed with her own two hands. She was baking bread with the yeast formed by her imprints as she was squeezing and trying to shape them.

My grandma was making soap, candles from beeswax, noodles,  pastries with sheep cheese, our famous chicken broth, basically there was no waste. Everything was either used, reused, recyclied, burned or composted.

Our house was made of clay and wood and I will never forget the smell of freshly baked bread, lavender, rose and rain after a dusty day.

With the political colapse of the 90`s and 2000`s, came the colapse of the Moldavian village, generations went into the ground and another one went abroad to earn a living and the landscape of the rural life changed forever.

This created a turmoil in my soul, it made me think for years that things will get back to what they used to be, I think it was more of me saying good bye to my childhood and coming to terms with the fact that things could never be the same, things could be different, but never the same.

The sound and the voices of my grandparents, friends calling me to play outside, ladies coming to ask my grandma for oil or flour, turning clay with hay and water into building material by stepping on it with our barefeet, all these sounds and moments are stored in the fiber of who I am.

I created this website as a sum of all my searches, every autumn I set a goal for myself to learn something new. This is why you should not be surprised that this website can help you if you need a translation or interpreting service, or if you want to visit a place in Romania or Moldova. I am happy to show you arround and organize the itinerary or if you are interested in local Romanian and Moldavian wines I am happy to take you to the most exquisite wineries in our part of the world.

All in all, if you have any question, my fellow traveler, I am happy to answer it and offer my support.
